Responsibilities:  To participate in the general maintenance of the property to include, plant, machinery, equipment and portable appliances  To conduct regular inspections and advise accordingly, with regard to the condition of paint work, building, plant and equipment  To conduct regular inspections, servicing and trouble shooting with regard to the machine and equipments  To ensure all records are kept on spares, services and troubleshooting  To inspect all fire fighting equipment and maintain them  To advise on all defects and infringements relating to Office Health and Safety  To maintain a tidy and safe work area within the Facilities & Maintenance Workshop  To maintain in working order and ensure security items of tools and equipment allocated for use in carrying out responsibilities  To carry out any special tasks required by Facilities and maintenance Management

Requirements:

§         A high degree of practical experience is essential in electrical and electronic field

§         The diverse nature of the appointment requires broad relevant experience with proven ability

§         A logical and reasoned approach with the ability to interpret the needs of the job

§         A thorough knowledge of safe practices and safe methods of working

§         Must be highly self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative in order to complete tasks

§         Acceptable to employees at all levels

§         Have good communication and organisational skills

§         Be stable and reliable and have sufficient perseverance to cope under pressure

§         Be loyal, reliable, decisive and inspire trust with plenty of initiative

§         Be of a mature character and of stable background

§         Have good general health and be capable of sustained concentration and lateral thinking

§         Ability to work outside normal working hours as and when required
